ORIGINAL POST BELOW:
Hello everyone! Thanks for taking the time to visit this page. It has been created in an effort to assist Jay’s mother, Ms. Sharon and family to offset the unexpected funeral expenses as they prepare to celebrate Jay's life.
Some of you, in the local Baton Rouge area, may have heard that in the early morning hours of July 03, 2021, Jeremiah “Jay” Johnston lost his life unexpectedly. This tragic event has left us feeling lost and heart broken. Jay never met a stranger, always welcoming of others, loved to make everyone smile and laugh.
Jeremiah is from the Hebrew name Yirmeyahu (meaning 'appointed by God'), and for anyone that knew Jay, would know just how much of a light he was. He was always making sure everyone around him was taken care of. He would give the shirt off his back. He genuinely loved his friends. He had such a soft heart.
We are humbly asking friends and love ones for a contribution so our friend can be laid to rest. Any amount that you donate would be greatly appreciated.
Please remember the family at this time of grieving and great loss in your prayers and thoughts. Thank you!
Arrangements are pending. We will update this post when arrangement have been completed.
Jeremiah 29:11 - "For I know the plans I have for you"
“There is a sacredness in tears. They are not the mark of weakness, but of power. They speak more eloquently than ten thousand tongues. They are the messengers of overwhelming grief, of deep sorrow, and of unspeakable love.”
