In loving memory of Jess Simmons

We are fundraising in memory of Jess - a true fighter and an absolute gem who will be missed terribly. As people will be be aware Jess was diagnosed with incurable cancer in May 2021. She fought so hard and did her best to stay as long as she could- but devastatingly lost her battle on Christmas Eve. She was so well known in our community and at the school gate for her unstoppable positive attitude, her determination and her constant smile. Apart from her own cancer battle, Jess had worked tirelessly for years before to raise money for her daughter Millie (who has cerebral palsy) to get her the medical care and help she needed to give her the best chance of being able to walk in the future. Jess has left behind 4 beautiful young daughters and her soul mate Ben, who now have to adjust to life without her.

It can feel impossible to know how to help and the hole Jess has left behind is immense. Fundraising is a small way to try and support Ben and the girls at this deeply sad time. The money we manage to raise will help Ben to cover the costs of the funeral and hopefully to have some money to support him and the girls for a while in whatever way they need. Please do share this campaign with family and friends so we can show how far the love and support really goes. Jess once said in a message to me 'I'm so so thankful for everything the OV(Onslow Village) people are doing for just little old me, I really truly am.' For me that says it all - she had no idea what a true warrior she was, or how much people admired her.
