In Memory of Jesus Sanchez: Funeral Assistance
Donation protected
My name is Abdi Hernandez, and I am the nephew of Jesus Sanchez. I write this today in complete and utter shock, as today, December 16th, 2024, my uncle was tragically and senselessly murdered this morning in Pleasant Grove by an unknown assailant, who utilized a machine-gun-like weapon to gun my uncle down in his SUV. My uncle was a man who cared for his family deeply. His upbringing in Nuevo Laredo made him a strong person for us, and he never failed to make us laugh.
As we navigate through this unexpected and difficult time, we find ourselves struggling to cover funeral costs, and we humbly ask for any donations from those who may be able to help us.
Any donation, no matter how big or small, will help us honor my uncle, and will provide us with the opportunity for a proper farewell instead of worrying about financial burdens.
Thank you so much for your generosity and support throughout these trying times. Anything helps! And if you cannot donate, I ask that you please share our campaign.
As we navigate through this tragedy for our family, we are left with the pain of saying goodbye to my Tio Chuyin, but we also are deepened with great sadness as to the violence that has consumed Pleasant Grove and Mesquite. When is the violence going to stop? How can we as a community be okay with hearing gunshots outside our own homes and not do anything to report it? How are we so complacent with such violence in our communities? How many more people have to die? Nothing can bring back what we lost this morning, but I pray that no one feels the pain we are feeling right now. I am angry at the senseless killings that continue within Dallas, and we must stand together to stop it. Thank you.
