In memory of Jian Wang

We are deeply saddened to share the news that our beloved friend, Jian Wang, passed away on Sunday morning. He was formerly a Vertexian, an accomplished medicinal chemist at Vertex for 21 years. Jian later became a VP of Bellen Chemistry, a Chinese CRO company. His gregarious nature helped him build many great friendships with the people around him including past and current Vertexians. In addition to his love for science, he was very passionate about exercise and running. He ran quite a few marathons, and other races, and was always supportive and encouraging of other runners. Jian was an avid and constant supporter to many charities and school causes. Jian leaves behind his loving wife and two beautiful daughters. At this tragic time for his family, we are trying to show our respect and affection to Jian by gathering a GoFundMe donation in his honor.
