Our mother, Joan Wernimont, passed peacefully into the Lord's loving embrace on Oct. 21, 2020.
Mom enjoyed a lifelong passion of travel whether near or far. She reveled in exploring the nooks and crannies of the communities and the surrounding areas of Grand Rapids, MI, and La Crosse, WI in which she lived the past 20 years of her life. Without the local organizations that provide seniors access to excursions, music, art, community festivals and so much more, Mom would not have been able to explore as independently nor as long as she did.
In honor of mom's 86 years of life, and in lieu of flowers, we are encouraging a donation to your local senior organization or to this GoFundMe campaign. All proceeds from this campaign will be divided between the Grand Rapids MI Northview Senior Citizens and La Crosse WI Senior Excursions to support the continuation of the programming mom so enjoyed.
