In Memory of Joe Calvanelli: For Nicole & Joe's Sons

On August 14, Joseph Calvanelli (Joe), passed away at home after battling an aggressive brain tumor. Joe's spirit was larger than life and his network of friends, family and acquaintances who he made an impression on spreads far and wide. He loved golf, baseball and fly fishing but above all else, Joe loved his family. His wife, Nicole, and his sons were the center of his universe. In 2023 he retired to spend more time at home with the boys, taking over the role as their default daytime caregiver and learning coach with plans to finally spend time traveling, exploring and experiencing life's joys together as a family. In a cruel twist of fate, they now have to do those things for Joe's memory instead of with him by their side.

For many years he worked hard to ensure that they had everything they needed but no one could anticipate the nightmare that they now face ahead of them - a life without their Joe. Nicole is one of the most selfless and fiercely dedicated mothers and we want to make the coming years just a little easier for her. If you've met her even only once you know that she will do everything she can to handle this on her own and with all of her strength. But she's not alone. We hope that by asking for a little bit of help from the Calvanelli's extensive network of dear friends, we can help Nicole not have to choose between various activities and experiences for the boys because of finances. We want them to be able to live their lives fully and find joy again - for Joe.

Funds raised here will be accessible only by Nicole for the boys and whatever she they may need. Joe's eldest son has a major planned surgery in September that will require a lot of expenses beyond medical bills to ensure he is comfortable and recovering easily. Your gift might mean not having to choose between kung fu and baseball, not worrying as much about the boys savings accounts for their futures or being able to take that trip that they never go to do with Joe.

Joe's village is the immense and we all know that it is an honor to know the Calvanellis. Collectively we could all never come close to being Joe but we can try to allow him to take a big deep breath in heaven and know that his family will be okay. Thank you.
