In memory of Joey Deez: AudioActive Fundraiser

Joe had an unquenchable love and passion for music. His family feel that AudioActive, a Brighton-based Youth Music Organisation seems like the perfect fit for a charity to donate to in his memory.

Through his Village Live Record label, Joe was always promoting and exposing independent and underground music. He had a great knowledge and thirst for up and coming artists and for him sharing and supporting music was second nature.  He was a great supporter of music at a grassroots level. 

His enthusiasm and positive approach were infectious. You could always find Joe attending gigs and club nights, or pointing people in the direction of artists they might enjoy, either from behind the counter at Rarekind Records where he worked or just by sharing the things he was listening to with his massive and varied group of friends and contacts in the independent music business. 

AudioActive uses music as a tool for social change, running free music workshops and sessions for young people in Brighton and across Sussex. For more information about AudioActive and the work they do, check the video below featuring charity patron, Rag 'N' Bone Man.
