John Jeffrey Hebert, age 61, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 5, 2016 in Houston, Texas. He was born January 25, 1955 to William and Afreda Hebert in Marlborough, Massachusetts.
John attended the University of Massachusetts in Amherst, Massachusetts where he was a member of Theta Chi Fraternity. He went on to spend his career in all facets of the roofing industry and was currently working at PBK Architects in Houston, which he enjoyed immensely.
John was the consummate family man that enjoyed spending time with his wife and two daughters. One of their favorite vacation spots was camping on the Sabine River and traveling to the Hill Country.
John’s true passion and love was rugby. John loved playing, coaching, and was the ultimate spectator. He played on several teams in Texas, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. It was a sport that he was passionate about and he excelled in for decades. He was a mentor in the sport and a "best friend" of many. He will be sorely missed in that arena. He is survived by his loving and supportive wife, Linda of 36 years and his two precious daughters, Lane Emily and Cooper Mallory.
John was a long-time member of Whites Chapel Methodist Church in Dallas but upon relocating to Houston is a member of Good Shepherd Methodist Church.
Other survivors include his brother Billy Hebert and sister Cathe Lopez and their families in Massachusetts.
John is further survived by many sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Good Shepherd United Methodist Church, 20155 Cypresswood Drive, Cypress, Texas, 77433.
The funds received from this account will be given to the family to help pay for funeral, hospital and other expenses associated with his sudden departure.
The Hebert family thanks you for your generosity as they continue to cope through this difficult time.
