In memory of John McMillan
Donation protected
On the 24/01/2025 John McMillan former Para Trooper, sadly passed away, it
wasn't the way john would of like to have gone, everyone knows how much of a
fighter john was, he was a very determined strong big brother, little brother, friend,
father, and a son. But sadly the path he took after loosing his mother in 2011
turned out for the worst.
He was sadly failed by our health care system who
failed to check his history when he was admitted into hospital recently and they failed to see the warning signs over his body, that he was suffering with severe mental health and fighting his demons and they left him unattended in a room where he managed to take his own life, they performed cpr and managed to get a pulse
and placed him in a coma in intensive care and the family had to sit in a room watching him slowly die over the course of
five days. The mri scan showed he had severe brain damage.
They don't want any other
family to ever go through this, they never asked anyone for help in life because they
wasn't brought up to do that, we are doing this because john
deserves much more than a standard sending off, he was there for everyone
when they needed him growing up and I know that he played a big part of installing
courage and determination into many of his friends and family.
No one should have to loose a sibling so young.
We as a family are completely
broken.
Anything would be greatly appreciated and
put towards Johns funeral costs to give him the best send off he deserves. If your
not in a position to donate no problem we just ask you to please kindly share.
We will continue to fight to put changes in place to prevent this from ever happening
again. John was failed massively and this cannot and will not happen again.
RIP John- we are absolutely devastated and broken
