In Memory of John Ortega

 

We are writing and hoping to raise money for our dear friend, John Ortega. A lot of people call him JJ or John. He was unexpectedly diagnosed with stage 4 rare bladder cancer last August 2020. Needless to say, this whole battle was extremely tough, physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially, but it has been made harder for him and his family due to covid-19. Despite it all, John continued to live with so much life and great outlook for the future. That’s who he’s always been – an optimist. He was selfless, kind, and passionate. Above all, he was a loving father, husband, son, brother, and a great friend and mentor to all of us. We were hoping for the best but very sadly, John lost his battle against cancer. On December 26, 2021, he passed away at his home, peacefully. His determination and courage over the last year and a half was commendable. He couldn’t have fought any harder. John is only 40 years old, but in his lifetime, he have won many souls as he is incredibly loved by many and we miss him immensely. He lives on through his beloved daughter, Tanya, and through our memories, forever.

 

Our goal is to raise enough money and help us ease the burden of his family as they navigate during this most difficult time. Any amount would be greatly appreciated. Prayers, good thoughts, and simply sharing this post are also appreciated. All proceeds and donations will go directly to the Ortega Family.
