In Memory of John Paul "JP" Ramel

John Paul “JP” Ramel was always interested in how you were doing. Most people would ask you, “Hey, how are you?” and expect the common “Good, how are you?” and move along. JP was different, instead he would ask you about your life goals, family, and your mood. He made you feel heard, and after a couple of seconds of being in the same room with him, any issues from the day past or anything that made you feel insecure faded away.
JP always kept himself busy. Whether it was mowing his neighbor’s lawns, working all day in the blistering heat, or riding the fire engine to a call, he would always make time for his family and friends. Originally JP lived in Haycock Township in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. By the age of 16, his parents passed, and JP came to live with his Aunt in Plumstead Township. He started as a Junior Firefighter with Plumsteadville Volunteer Fire Company on December 7th, 2015. JP completed his Firefighter 1 certification on August 8th, 2017 and received his five years of service award on December 7th, 2020. JP was a senior at Utica University in New York where he was studying Construction Management. Because of his dedication to the service, he also volunteered as a firefighter at New York Mills Fire Department while he was in school.
JP passed away on April 10th, 2022 at 22 Years Old. To some they lost: a friend, a brother, a boyfriend, and a son. He left his legacy behind in the hearts of so many people over the course of his life and will constantly serve as a reminder to be kind, gentle, and strong hearted. Nobody ever wants to be called a hero, in fact JP would have hated being called one for certain; however, when a person does as much as he did for others in his life there is not another word you could use to describe him. John Paul “JP” Ramel was our Hero and his family and friends are trying to give him the best of honors they can.
Through this Go fund me, the donations received will go to help with the costs related to his service as well as any other related expenses for John Paul .
