In Memory of Jon Pinedo: Support for the Pinedo Family

Donation protected
Hello, my family lost my father on Monday, September 30th. Though he had his medical struggles, nobody expected this outcome.

He had been unwell for the last several weeks, being admitted to the hospital on August 12th. He had returned home the first week of September, but was rushed to the emergency room again due to elevated ammonia levels on September 24th. My family was told it would be for just four days and he’d return home. Unfortunately, he did not and went into cardiac arrest early Monday morning and after several attempts at resuscitation, he passed away.

Though we miss him, his stay in several different hospital rooms, his medications, and now memorial services are expenses that my family is quickly getting overwhelmed with. Any help is appreciated and all funds are going directly to my mother, the love of Jon’s life, Irene Pinedo.

My father was many different things, but his humanity, boisterous nature and effortless comforting charisma made him the person I hope everybody always remembers him as. He was my best friend and is responsible for so many great memories. He made me feel so special, so I can’t imagine the impact he had on so many others.

Born February 15th, 1968 in San Gabriel, California, my father was a hardworking man who worked as a service consultant for over 30 years at several different locations, including O’Donnell of Chevrolet and Chevrolet of Montebello. Though he took great pride in his work, his priority was always ensuring security for his family. My mother describes falling in love with him at first sight. They became pregnant and then married in July 1989, just celebrating their 35th anniversary this year. He was only 21 when my older brother, Jonathan, was born. He quickly got to work to provide for his new family and he and my mom were able to purchase a home before the birth of their second child, Joseph. The last few years of my Dad’s life were emotionally enriching as his dreams came true with the birth of my brother’s daughter. Jon was able to build beautiful memories with his granddaughter who brought him happiness you couldn’t imagine.

Jon is survived by my beautiful mother, his loving parents, his amazing sister, his two sons, his godchildren, his granddaughter and so many other family and friends that his warmth touched.

My Dad loved sports, looking good, feeling good, music, movies, long walks on the beach, sugary sweets, and most of all, all the people who surrounded him with love.

Again, any donation is appreciated while my family deeply grieves during this time.
