In Memory of Jonathan Hurt: Support His Loved Ones
Donation protected
It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we share news of the unexpected passing of Jonathan Hurt. On January 10th, Jonathan was returning home by himself in his beloved maroon Volkswagen van from a work trip in Bend, Oregon. While driving on Highway 395 near Alturas, CA, the van went off the road for an unknown reason. Witnesses to the accident attempted to provide medical aid, but it was too late.
Jonathan leaves behind his wife, Stacey Wittek, and his two adult children, Liam and Ana Kenzie Hurt and his lovely extended clan from Scotland, the Urbani family.
Jonathan was Stacey's total life partner, her rock, her ski and adventure buddy, her comfort, her support.
The family is understandably shocked by this loss and is unfortunately not prepared for all that is happening at this time. Losing a loved one is always difficult, but coping with a sudden loss adds an even more challenging element to the grieving process. There are also added financial stressors, such as the cost of planning a funeral, emotional therapy and the loss of Jonathan's income to pay for current and future expenses. Jonathan did not have a life insurance policy.
We'd like to show our support to Stacey and her family by helping them cover unexpected expenses due to this sudden tragedy. Anything you can do to help Stacey during this time of heartbreak is greatly appreciated.
Thank you in advance for your loving kindness and compassion.
