In Memory of Jordan Hayes Assistance Fund

Donation protected

Yesterday afternoon, on July 6th, 2021, the world lost one of the brightest, most talented and deeply loved humans that has ever existed.

Jordan Dale Hayes, age 33, died at Mt. Sinai Hospital in New York City. Less than a week before his death, Jordan went to the ER with chest pains. What was found to be a small heart attack quickly led to two open heart surgeries. Complications arose and Jordan suffered multiple catastrophic strokes that ultimately proved to be too much for his body to overcome. He passed quickly and painlessly surrounded by those who loved him the most. He and Caitlin have talked extensively about death and their wishes, and it was decided that Jordan’s body will be donated to science.

Jordan leaves behind his wife, our sister Caitlin Whitley Hayes, his parents Gary and Dayla, his siblings, aunts, uncles, cousins, many nephews and nieces, in-laws, and friends from all walks of life. Jordan’s absence is felt in every person he has ever come in contact with. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through our stories and laughs.

At this time we are asking for help and assistance for Caitlin as she navigates the next few weeks without her soulmate and best friend by her side. There will be an exorbitant amount of medical bills in addition to living expenses for Caitlin and their two dogs River and Hattie, especially with the loss of Jordan’s income. We want to ease the burden as much as possible on Caitlin, and welcome help in all forms.

It was Jordan’s dream to be a writer in NYC, and we are so thankful he got to live that dream. ❤️
