In loving memory of Jose Camarena

The friends and family of Jose Camarena request your help. To the lives he formed bonds with over his too short life as Jose, Joey, Nino, Cam, or Mr. Camarena was a warm and welcoming presence who will be greatly missed by all. Jose’s joyful spirit brightened the world in every corner it reached, from the LAUSD classrooms where he was dedicated to serving its most vulnerable students; to South Gate, CA where he formed enduring friendships at every stage of his life.

Due to the unexpected nature of his passing, his family is not prepared for his burial. To help, close friends of Jose’s have reached out to the family to help carry some of the costs. We would like to invite you to help fund funeral services for our dear friend, as we cannot do it alone.

Those who knew Jose knew he was giving and wanted nothing more to help those he loved. To honor his life and giving spirit, we are reaching out to you now in hopes you’ll show his family your support.

So you know how your donation will be used, we are planning a sensible but meaningful ceremony. Genuinely, every very little bit helps. Here is a list of the costs of our intended spending:
