In Memory of Jose Panfilo Flores

As many of you may know after 38 days in ICU fighting COVID, my father in law gained his angel wings. He was 67 years young and still had a lot of spunk left in him. He fought until the end. We were blessed in the middle of his hospital stay to be given a moment where we were able to tell him we loved him and he responded. It was a moment that didn't last long, but I think it was God's way of letting us know that he knew we were with him, we were praying and fighting alongside him, and he wasn't alone. He is loved by so many and will be missed every moment. He was a loving father and grandfather and I don't know many moments when he wasn't smiling or laughing, well unless he was sleeping from a food coma after one of our family get togethers. He was a stubborn man who loved his family and oh did he love my mother in law. This has been a nightmare for our family. The reason I created this fundraiser is in hopes of helping to ease the financial burden that comes with COVID. There will be substantial medical debt along with funeral/memorial costs and loss of income. It is a nightmare that won't end anytime soon for my family. Please give if you can and pray for all of us. Pray for healing and peace and continue to send positive vibes our way. 100% of funds raised will go to my mother in law to help in this troubled time.

Como muchos de ustedes sabrán después de 38 días en la ICU luchando contra COVID, mi suegro ganó sus alas de ángel. Tenía 67 años de edad y todavía le quedaba mucho "spunk." Luchó hasta el final. Fuimos bendecidos en medio de su estancia en el hospital para que nos dieran un momento en el que pudiéramos decirle que lo queríamos y él respondió. Fue un momento que no duró mucho, pero creo que fue la manera de Dios de hacernos saber que sabía que estábamos con él, que estábamos orando y luchando junto a él, y no estaba solo. Es amado por tantos y se le echará de menos cada momento. Era padre y abuelo amoroso y no conozco muchos momentos en los que no sonreía ni se reíara, a menos que estuviera durmiendo de un coma de comida después de que una reunion nuestra familia. Era un hombre que amaba a su familia y a mi suegra. Esto ha sido una pesadilla para nuestra familia. La razón por la que creé esta recaudación de fondos es con la esperanza de ayudar a aliviar la carga financiera que conlleva COVID. Habrá una deuda médica sustancial junto con los costos funerarios/memoriales y la pérdida de ingresos. Es una pesadilla que no terminará pronto para mi familia. Por favor, da si puedes y ora por todos nosotros. Oren por la curación y la paz y continúen enviando vibras positivas.
