In memory of Kathryn Houlihan

It is with heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Kathryn Melmer Houlihan who was born on May 7th 1967 in Endicott. Kathy passed in her home on December 19th. She was 50 years old. Her precious soul is survived by her children Markus and Meghan Houlihan and her dogs Bernie & Rizzo, her siblings, Marianne Potter, Rob and Alan Melmer, nieces and nephews Joel, Justin, and Emily Potter and their families, her in- laws Robert and Geraldine Houlihan and her dearest friends Christine Kilpatrick, Amy Levy, Debbie Dodge and countless others. She was predeceased by her mother Almina Melmer.
Kathy was an athlete and excelled in softball and basketball. She was one of those people who could handle anything and always had a can-do attitude. Her superpowers were many, but none greater than her ability to make us laugh. She was an amazing story teller, a loyal friend and the best singing partner you could have, Kiss and Fleetwood Mac some of her best work. She loved her children, her family, her friends and her pets. Kathy’s smiling, singing face will forever be in our hearts.
Please join us in celebrating her life on Friday the 22nd with greetings at 5 pm followed by a 5:30 ceremony and reception at the Endwell Fire Station at 3508 Country Club Road, Endwell NY 13760. In lieu of flowers please donate to our GoFundMe page to assist with service costs.
