Kathy Kay Gibson, 69, of McConnelsville, Ohio, went to be with The Lord Sunday, February 14, 2021. Kathy was born March 22, 1951 in Zanesville, Ohio to the late Joann Kester. In addition to her mother, Kathy is also preceded in death by her son, Aaron Gaiters.
Kathy is survived by her 5 children and their spouses, Aarik (Joann) Gaiters, Ligget (Misty) Gaiters, Nehemiah (Wendi) Gaiters, Adam (Jessica) Gaiters and Rebekah (Levell) Spates; multiple grandchildren; multiple great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and friends.
Kathy was not only a mother to her 6 children, but a mother to many. She was an active member of The Anchor Church of McConnelsville, under the pastorate of her son, Nehemiah Gaiters. Kathy faithfully served God for many years, during which she taught the love of God to many. She is very loved and will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
You may call on the family Wednesday, February 17, 2021 from 3:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m., with funeral service to follow at 5:30 p.m., at The Anchor Church, 1365 Chamberlain St., in Zanesville. Pastor Aaron Bounds officiating. Per the family's wishes, cremation will follow. BURRELL FUNERAL SERVICES is serving the family.
