In Memory of Katie Morris
Donation protected
On Monday, December 23, 2019, the world lost one of its most vibrant souls, Katie Morris. As a recipient of a heart transplant in 2014, a result of a restrictive cardiomyopathy diagnosis, Katie faced her fair share of obstacles and close calls over the years, all of which she recovered from beautifully. It is with great sorrow that her loved ones have to say goodbye to her this Christmas.
Katie was just 20 years old, an art therapy major at Indiana University Southeast, an Alpha Phi, and life partner to Landon. There are no words to accurately describe who Katie was, but she was strong, intelligent, driven, and wildly funny. She was one of the most loyal and caring friends a person could have. While Katie's entire community mourns her loss, we are given the comfort of knowing she no longer has a broken heart on earth and that she is "doing the cha cha slide with Jesus". Her words, not mine :)
All funds raised will go directly to the Morrises to help cover medical and funeral expenses. Anything to help relieve this financial burden during their time of grief will be an immense blessing to this sweet family. Any thoughts, prayers, and well wishes to Katie's family will also be greatly appreciated. They need lots of love and support in this difficult season.
