In Memory of Kay Brock

Mrs. Kay Brock’s passion was helping high school students reach their full potential. She did so as a teacher and counselor at Choctaw High School for over 30 years, until her passing in January. Kay particularly had a heart for the student who faced hardships and who found the road to getting their diploma challenging. Kay considered the Class of 2023 “her class,” as her plan was to retire once this class graduated.

One of Kay’s favorite sayings was, “I’m living the dream!” To honor Kay, her friends have started a fund to give some members of the Class of 2023 a start on living their dream. This is a one-time “pay-it-forward” on behalf of Kay to these students selected by the administration of the school.

Those wishing to honor Kay and to help these students may donate any amount to the GoFundMe account or by mailing a check payable to Choctaw High School to the school at 110 Racetrack Rd., NW in Ft. Walton Beach, FL 32547. Be sure to indicate “Kay Brock Fund” on the envelope and check.
