EDIT - Thank you so much to everyone for your donations. In total with online and offline donations (less the gofundme fees) we raised £2766.00
On the 20th December 2022, our smiley Ken sadly passed away and my world changed forever. He was a dearly loved son, brother, boyfriend and friend to so many. Ken had an extremely big heart, was generous, compassionate, loving and has left a huge hole in our lives.
In 2021 he was diagnosed with epilepsy, and I watched him struggle with his symptoms and seizures throughout our relationship. It can be extremely serious, and unfortunately, many people lose their lives every year from causes related to epilepsy or sudden unexpected death (SUDEP). Over 50 million people worldwide are diagnosed with epilepsy, but with the help of Epilepsy Action, those with the condition and their loved ones can receive support and education to help them manage their lives and their diagnosis and help overcome setbacks they may face.
Ken made connections and touched the hearts of so many throughout his life, and hopefully with the help of family, friends and his followers of Livconfessions, we can raise a considerable amount of money. This can help the lives of those who suffer from epilepsy, by funding further research and nationwide programs that improve epilepsy care, providing support networks, raising awareness of symptoms, education on how to help when someone is having a seizure or even supporting family members or loved ones of those who have Epilepsy.
In conjunction with this page, I have organised a fundraising night in honour of Ken in Liverpool on 22nd June in Electrik (Wood Street), and I hope as many people as possible can attend, celebrating his life and raising even more funds to go to such a great cause. Details of this will be posted on @livconfessions_ on Instagram.
Furthermore, I will also be gifting some of the funds raised to his family to help support with funeral costs etc that they have had to deal with the past 5 months.
Any donation is appreciated, big or small; thank you.
