There's no doubt that everyone who knows Ken, knows him to be a kind man, a gentle soul, a musician among musicians, and would give his all to anyone who asked. He never did things without giving 100%, and those that he served in ministry can definitely attest to that. Serving was all he knew.
He was a giant, and his gift was larger than life, yet he served in small local churches, blessing them with the unique grace he carried. He carried his gift, and his keyboard, around the world, freely and happily sharing the experience of WORSHIP with everyone that came in contact with him.
Now, in his passing, we are asking that those of us who have been blessed by simply knowing him, to be a blessing to his lovely family as they start the journey of remembering when.
The last 9 years, his family has been stretched, doing everything possible to keep Ken happy, as healthy as possible, and keep him home, where love lives. It's been a journey, to say the least, filled with the same sacrifices he made when he could, filled with the same tender care he gave others, surrounded by melodies of singers he trained whenever they came to visit, and his own music - simply to keep him encouraged.
During the last few years we were blessed with Ken's presence. there was also significant financial responsibility associated with his care. His loving wife Yolanda (a nurse of 30+ years) and daughter Felicia (CNA) did whatever it took to ensure his needs were met despite the sacrifice it took on them personally. Unfortunately, due to other health challenges, at age 47, Ken was not only the sole provider, but was not insured at the time of falling ill. At this moment his final expenses have become the full responsibility of his love, Yolanda.
Our desire, as those who loved Ken, is to be blessing to his home and legacy. There is no gift that is too small or too large.
At the end of such a long journey, this final blessing, in memory of one loved by many, would be nothing less than EXACTLY what Ken would want for his wife, and what he would do for someone else if he could.
We thank you all in advance for being a blessing. Thank you for sharing your condolences, sending your prayers, and loving Ken over the years.
Please take a moment to enjoy Ken's virtual memorial. Feel free to leave a tribute, uploads photos, or just share one of your fond memories of Ken.
