In Memory of Kenny Silanskas

It is with great sadness that we learned today that Kenny Silanskas has passed away. This is a terrible loss for Kenny’s family, for us at Acquia, and for the the Drupal community.
Lovingly known as webkenny to the Drupal community, Kenny joined Acquia in 2009 and helped to shape the rapidly growing Support Team. In 2013, Kenny began working at Blink Reaction as their Director of Technology.
Kenny was always trying to keep smiles on the faces of his friends and colleagues - like the time that Kenny came into the Acquia office dressed as the Tooth Fairy for halloween. He won the costume contest hands down.
Or the time at Drupalcon Chicago when he demonstrated the relationship of HTTP requests to Drupal and, in turn, to the external cache by having everyone shoot nerf guns as him. In Kenny’s words, “A human load test, if you will.”
It is hard to put into words a such a dynamic man - who was also an amazing singer and performer. You can hear his powerful voice singing Purple Rain at Drupalcon Denver. Some of you may even remember his performances from the Acquia trip to Puerto Rico in 2011.
As we mourn his passing and celebrate his life, please share this with friends of Kenny so they can make contributions if they wish.
