Kyle Scott Douglas
October 27, 1988 - August 26, 2024
Kyle was born to Alvin Douglas and Tammy Smith. He had two children, 5 brothers, and 1 sister.
I can’t speak for his mother, father, children or even his brothers and what they are going through. However, I can speak from what I’ve learned. I was planning on keeping this more formal but, in all honesty, that’s just not what you can do in times like these. What do you say? What can you do when someone loses a daddy, a son, a brother? No words can express the loss. No amount of time can even begin to stop the grieving. Time only helps us grieve differently. Sometimes we cry out of hurt and pain. Other times, we cry because of the beautiful memories we have of them. I’m sure Kyle gave a lot of wonderful memories to a lot of people. Kyle was the epitome of fun-loving and kind. Kyle was one of those rare people you meet who has a genuine heart and kind spirit. We all fight our own battles through this life and make decisions, but I truly believe that it’s our hearts and motives that make all the difference. Despite everything he faced - often times in silence - Kyle had one of the sweetest spirits and never wanted to see anyone hurt. He was a genuinely kind soul.
As I said earlier, I wouldn’t begin to speak for his immediate family. Everyone deals with things differently. When my brother died, we didn’t know what to do. Trying to deal with the shock of it all and organize everything was just too much to comprehend at that time. But by the grace of God, God used some amazing people in our lives, to help get it all together. One thing I do know about Kyle is that he had a miraculous faith. Kyle was the first one to tell you about Jesus and how he got saved. There is so much peace in knowing that. It’s always difficult for the ones left behind to deal with the pain that comes when losing someone like Kyle, but I hope that there is peace in knowing that where Kyle is now - the only scars in Heaven are on the hands Who hold him now.
Any donations will go straight to Kyle’s family for funeral expenses. Thank you in advance for anything. Even the smallest amount is appreciated. If your only takeaway is to learn more about Jesus Christ. Don’t hesitate to ask me about Him. Psalm 91
