In Memory of Lenny Piper

Lenny Piper passed away recently after a long battle with cancer.

Lenny was a hugely popular figure in the world of football.

He was a professional footballer as a young man and then played semi-professionally for many years for countless clubs where he became a fans favourite, loved and admired by so many people within the game.

He then passed the knowledge to become a black taxi driver and was equally loved and respected by his fellow cabbies and the black cab community as a whole.

He leaves behind Jolene, the love of his life of 17 years and 3 beautiful children, Millie, 22, Ruby, 14 and Lenny, 6.

So many individuals from the football world, black cab trade and the wider community have kindly asked the family when can they make a donation / contribution in memory of Len and towards his children’s futures.

We have set up this go fund me to be a central place where you can do this. We know Lenny would be so appreciative and thankful.

In the summer we will also be holding a football match in memory of Len. It will be between Lenny’s South London pals V his West London pals. All proceeds from that match will be added to whatever is raised here.

Any amount raised here will go towards giving Lenny’s kids some wonderful experiences to look forward to in memory of their Dad and will let them know deeply loved Lenny was and how sorely he will be missed by you all.

Thank you so much for all your kindness and love. It will never be forgotten.
