Story:
Linda Howe,
What can I say to express what an amazing person she was. How am I; her daughter, supposed to put into words what she meant to the people who were fortunate to have met her and to be a part of her life...
Linda was an amazing person, friend, wife, mother, and grandmother. She gave to drug rehabilitation programs, donated what she could (which was not much) to charities that she believed in. She was the perfect friend to cry to or talk to if you had problems in life. She always thought of others with no intentions of ever receiving repayment. She always tried to make the most of every day, had a positive outlook on life, and made it a goal to make those around her smile. "Life is a joke so make fun of it." was the biggest motto of her life.
To make others laugh she would do simple things like funny voices, stupid jokes, funny faces, silly dances, or anything else she thought would make someone's day brighter. Other times she would entertain her kids and grandson with pea shooting competitions with spoons, whoever made it the farthest won. She was a huge kick in the pants to be around.
Linda was the glue and foundation in which held her family together. She was in her words a domestic engineer, a homemaker, a stay-at-home mom. She took care of her two daughters, supporting all their decisions, educational goals, and more until she started falling ill.
In 2014 she had a stroke, then in 2015 she a heart attack, and then ultimately in 2019 she found out she had cancer in her uterus. All too quickly the cancer spread to her lymph nodes in her chest and into her pancreas. With a strong family behind her and specialist doctors, she survived 18 months after her diagnosis of cancer came to lite and on the afternoon of December 30th, she had congestive heart failure: a heart attack, that untimely took her life.
Linda took her last breath inside an ambulance, without any family beside her due to Covid19 restrictions, while on her way to Spokane, never even reaching Davenport a city in between Spokane, when she took to the sky to be with her parents and god.
Her final moments: She had been swollen really bad and the doctors didn't seem to really listen to her about how she had needed the water off her abdomen and legs so it got so bad that last day that her tongue was swollen to the point that no one could understand her the nurse up at the clinic finally realized that she needed help so she was on her way to Spokane scared and alone. But she didn't even get to davenport.
Costs: She knew what she had wanted for her burial requests which she had discussed with me her daughter Darci. She wanted to be cremated. The cremation cost $995.00 and then there are costs of taxes and fees which come up to over a thousand dollars. Then expenses for getting back and forth to Spokane for her viewing and receiving her ashes. In order for her to be cremated when need the cremation costs to be paid in full, unfortunately living on a low income it is very difficult for that to happen in a timely fashion.
