In Memory of Lisa Davis: Support Her Legacy
Donation protected
Hello,
I started this GoFundMe for my sister, Lisa Davis who was diagnosed with Stage 4 breast cancer right after Christmas. Sadly, at age 55, she passed away Monday, February 17th, from the breast cancer that had metastasized to her bones and skull. It was a painful battle, as you can imagine, and we saw hope passing away for quality of life end with each new emergency surgery. While in hospital she had surgery to remove a spinal tumor in lower back, surgery to repair a broken humerus on her right arm, suffered a perforated bowel, and holes in her intestines which turned septic. Lisa went into the hospital on Jan 10th and left us this past Monday, Feb 17th from hospice care after 3 more days of battling; we know she held on for a chance to see all her loved ones and friends once more.
We are devastated, to say the least, as Lisa was the glue that held our family together, always providing support, encouragement, and planning all our holidays, birthday parties, etc. For those that knew her well, she gave herself to everyone so they would not go without, making everyone in her family feel loved, even to her own detriment—she would go without. I can go on and on, but the reason for the GoFundMe:
Lisa’s diagnosis was sudden, and when we thought we would at least have another 3-5 years with her, it was not meant to be. So friends, if you care to donate in memory of her life she lived and loved selflessly for others, so that we can support expenses as well as her 2 adopted grandchildren, Cannon and Gianna (13 & 11), we would be eternally grateful.
On behalf of myself, Lynda Tjarks, and my sister and brother—Lanae Dickson, BJ Tjarks—as well as her daughter’s Braelynn Davis, Maddie Turney and Lisa’s life partner of 30 years, Allan Turney, we are ever thankful.
We have lost our rock and foundation, but she lives forevermore in our hearts—not a day will go by…
Again, thank you all,
Lynda Tjarks
