In memory of Lisa Dobson

My name is Lucy of They Love It Raw Dog Food - A small family run business in Benfleet, Essex.

Lisa worked for us for many years here at They Love It and was a cherished friend and colleague. Loved by everyone who met her. She gave 110% to everything that she did in life. She was adored by our customers and her colleagues. Always caring for everyone else. Being everyone's Mum. Lisa loved life and lived it to the full.

She had a brilliant sense of humour. She always had a joke for every situation which had us all in stitches.

On Thursday 1st September our lovely Lisa was at work when she became unwell, feeling faint and mentioning a headache. Our staff Daisy and Luke tended to her immediately but within minutes it became apparent that she was suffering from a stroke. Having called an ambulance, which they estimated would be a min of 2 hours, Matthew then scooped her up and together with Daisy's help they got her into the car straight to Basildon Hospital in just over half an hour of it happening, where they waited for myself and her husband to arrive.

After being scanned it was apparent that there was a severe bleed to Lisa's brain. Lisa was in a coma for the following 12 days, sleeping through her 58th birthday on Saturday 10th September.

On Tuesday 13th September, Lisa lost her fight and tragically passed away.

Her family, friends and colleagues are struggling to come to terms with the sudden loss of one of such a wonderful person. Taken far too soon.

We are fundraising in Lisa Dobson's memory for her family to finish the dream garden she had started, and sadly never got to finish. If you could spare even just £1 to go to her family to help finish this in her memory we would be so grateful.

It transpired that Lisa had high blood pressure that we don't think she was aware of.
