***UPDATE #2
After the celebration of life, we will meet at one of my mom's favorite restaurants called "Cafe Coyote" at 2:15pm for food, drinks, and a true celebration of her life.
It is located in Old Town San Diego, address is 2461 San Diego Ave, San Diego CA 92110.***
Lorena Eugenia Salcido Salcido was a beautiful, intelligent, and stunning woman. She was my mother and a wonderful friend to many of us. She was one of the hardest-working people that we have ever known, working multiple jobs to support her family by herself, leaving her country and security from Mexico to come here for a better life for her children. She also had a strong character and personality but that made my mom who she was; one of a kind and special soul who put her friends and family first. We all loved her with our hearts and souls and she was the best Mom a son could ask for.
Unfortunately my Mom has battled with some illness for some time now and passed away on 11/21/2024 in her house in San Diego, CA. She struggled for many years to this illness and I suppose God said that it was time. This has shaken everyone and caught us all by surprise, to say the least. It is a tragedy and the worst news that a son could ever encounter. I literally have no more words to describe the heavy nature of this tragedy.
We need help. We are looking to fundraise some money to help pay for expenses related to her death, including funeral expenses, cremation, transportation, legal paperwork, and other miscellaneous expenses.
Anything helps, we really need your help.
There will be a service located at 7669 Girard Ave, La Jolla, CA 92037 at 12:00pm on 12/21/24.
We hope to see you there. Rest in Peace Mom. We love you. Thank you for giving me and my little brother a wonderful life.
