In Loving Memory of Lori Mitchell
Donation protected
On June 2nd 2024, the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) lost a valued, long-standing and beloved member of its Intelligence and Enforcement program in the Atlantic Region.
Lori Mitchell was one of the Agency’s first Intelligence Analysts and was a fierce proponent of the analytical tradecraft. She spent her career promoting and demonstrating the value of analysis in law enforcement files, mentoring new analysts, and advocating for increased information sharing with partners.
Outside of work; Lori was a loving wife, stepmother, and grandmother. She loved scrapbooking, hunting for deals at the local shops in St. Stephen and Calais, and watching the wildlife outside her home in rural NB. She was a caring, compassionate, and giving person, and a dear friend to many.
Lori passed away from a stroke just months before her scheduled retirement.
This fundraising campaign was created by her CBSA friends and colleagues to make a donation in her name as a tribute to her life and work.
The funds will be donated to the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analyst (IALEIA) to utilize and administer through their Scholarship/Career/Awards programs.
IALEIA, of which Lori was a member, is a professional organization and registered nonprofit corporation based in the U.S. Their mission is to promote the analytical tradecraft through advocacy, training, certification, networking, professionalism, and research, all topics which were near and dear to Lori’s heart.
