In Memory of Mac Thurman

Warren "Mac" Thurman II passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday April 13, 2020 at 56 years of age.  Mac is survived by his loving wife Leann, three children, a grandson, and a foster daughter.

Mac was a special part of the Chicago Transit Authority family as a Communications Technician for over 20 years.  He played a crucial role in maintaining CTA radio systems and supporting the CTA Control Center over the years.   He brought to work every day a solid work ethic and never backed down from a challenge.  He greeted everybody with a smile and a respectful attitude.

He was also a proud veteran serving his country for 22 years in the US Air Force.  He loved airplanes, paint balling, and most of all spending time with his family and friends.

We, as his colleagues and co-workers, are shocked and saddened for the loss of Mac, but more so heart-broken for his wife and family for their tragic loss .   

We have set up this memorial to honor Mac and show  how much we respected and loved him.  All proceeds will go to Mac's family to help with expenses through this difficult time.  Please give generously and leave words of comfort for Mac's family.
