Elderly Canadian Couple Murdered In Florida Home

On March 22nd, we learned of the passing of Marc Gagne and Rita Fortin in Pompano Beach, Florida. Having not being heard from since Tuesday, neighbors in the area checked in on them and found the door unlocked; Marc and Rita were victims of a senseless crime in their own home.

Despite their age, Marc and Rita were young at heart. Marc and Rita were Parents, Grandparents, and even Great Grandparents at the time of their passing.

You see crimes such as this in the news every day, but never imagine your family will be impacted by such as senseless crime. Marc and Rita Gagne were murdered in their own home, with no suspects currently identified. No one expects or plans for this type of crime to happen to them.

As a nephew of Marc and Rita, I am raising support for the family at a time of intense grief. We plan to use the funds to support the unexpected transport that will be required between Canada and Florida, towards the travel costs that will be required for family members located across Canada and the United States to be able to attend services, as well as an additional reward leading the the capture and arrest of a suspect if the police are unable to enact justice for this crime.

The family has approved me, Benjamin Gagne, to distribute funds as stated. 

Funds for additional reward will be withdrawn and given to the Boward Country Sheriff's Office.
