In memory of Marc Saul Budgazad

Marc Budgazad, psychology doctoral candidate and Tobacco Research Specialist of the Sunset Terrace Behavioral Health Center at NYU Langone passed away suddenly on November 21, 2020 at the age of 33.  Marc first joined the Behavioral Health and Primary Care Integration program as a psychology extern in 2015 and quickly became an integral part of the team.  His grant-funded work provided cessation support to those with nicotine dependence and co-morbid mental health conditions.  His research and program developments were invaluable to the health center and his clinical work was transformative to all he touched.

With this in mind, Marc's mother Helene, and sisters Chana, Sari and Leora, have set up a GoFundMe campaign.  Funds will be donated to continue Marc’s work at NYU Langone’s Tobacco Cessation Program, and in doing so preserve his legacy as a "soldier of light," as he was called by those who knew him.  All contributions in Marc's memory will have a direct impact on a cause that was so close to his heart.
