In Memory of Marchie Dolly

Donation protected
Cervicide would like to support Marchie Dolly's wife and family financially during this tough time.

His last wishes were to be cremated and spread into the mountains he loved so dearly. That sounds exactly like something he'd say too. We'll always remember you, our friend.

His wife Anna emailed us recently

"In the handful of weeks he's been gone, it's been one big financial whammy after another.
the worst of course, is losing him. I still expect to see him everywhere and still start to go ask him something and have to stop.

He was everything to me- I don't hunt and I couldn't watch him take an animal down.
But I sure could help him process it once it was done.
He wanted his body dragged up in the woods for the critters to eat.
I said I didn't need a coyote dragging his leg through the yard.
Besides, he was a big man. Strongest man I've ever known- widest shoulders and biggest heart.
I couldn't have done that legally or physically.

So I told him what I CAN do is have your body cremated and scatter ashes to fertilize what the deer and turkeys DO eat.
He never really agreed to that, it wasn't as outlaw...
but that is what we will be doing.
But absolutely, he was an avid hunter and believed in treating the animals fairly- that's what hunting was to him.

If there is someone in your life that you adore- hold tight, love without reservation, and let go of anything that doesn't really matter, because what does matter is the love we share with them, not who left dirty socks on the floor or the toilet seat up."

His nephew Ronnie L. sent us this email soon after his passing.

"I’m sending this email because of a turn of events in my life I feel should be shared. My uncle and I were hunting WV whitetail together this past week on Monday and tuesday. He always came in the first couple days of deer season to hunt with me and my immediate family’s group in Upper Tract where I live. Tuesday evening we began to talk (usually swapping mechanic stories) and we came upon the subject of hunting gear and Cervicide. He told me he became a member and couldn’t be happier with the whole thing. He showed me a lot of what was offered with a membership. I did not know it then, but that conversation would be our last. I later learned after he left for the week that he had passed away due to a heart attack on the 25th. He died doing what he loved, hunting and being in the woods."

If you are willing and able to support Marchie's family we would encourage you to do so. A huge blessing from one hunter to another.
