In Loving Memory of Matt Keegan
Donation protected
Many of you may know Matt from the Rye Grill, or through friends, or Starbucks, or elsewhere in life, as he touched many people.
Unfortunately, Matt tragically passed away at his home this past Wednesday, July 17.
Matt’s sudden passing means that there were no preparations made ahead of time. Given that he was only 40 years old, he did not have life insurance and his family is not prepared for the high cost of a funeral, so we are reaching out to the community to ask for donations to help cover the costs associated with his service.
If you knew him, you know that Matt put everyone else above himself. He was always there with an ear to listen, a shoulder to cry on, or whatever else he could do to support those he cared about. He took care of those around him, even at his own expense, time and time again. If he thought he could do something to help, he always would, no matter the situation. Matt felt everything deeply - he would cry at a cat stuck in a tree, or a love story, or a crappy situation faced by someone he loved. He always knew what made you smile and he was there to pick you up in the darkest times and to celebrate with you in the brightest ones. Matt also deeply valued his work at the Rye Grill, its customers, and his coworkers there. He was an important part of the RGB family and larger community in Rye and the surrounding area.
We are shocked by the sudden loss of Matt and want to give him the funeral he deserves. We also want to allow his family to grieve without worrying about everyday expenses. Please donate what you can to help the family of our dear friend during this difficult time.
Please share Matt’s funeral fundraiser with others that knew him.
