In Memory of Matthew Henshaw

This fundraiser is an effort by family, friends, and co-workers to honor Matt by helping his family. Matt was a son, brother, friend, co-worker and most of all father to his sons Justin (15), and Lincoln (4). They were his everything. In the fall of 2021 following adrenal gland removal and biopsy, Matt was diagnosed with Sarcoma Cancer. Matt persevered going through several rounds of chemotherapy. Weeks would pass where he could not see his boys due to side effects and/or lowered immune system from treatment. It was only 9 short months from diagnosis that he could no longer be treated and passed away leaving his boys, family, friends, and colleagues who will dearly miss him. Matt was a pay it forward person and would help others whenever he could. Ringing the Salvation Army bell was an annual event for Matt and his boys. At work Matt often spoke of his strong work ethic and how he did it all for his boys and wanted them to learn by his example. Matt often said to his sons "be humble and be kind", words from a Tim Mcgraw song that was one of Matt's favorite country songs. Matt wanted everyone to live every day like there is no tomorrow and to always be humble and kind.
