In Memory of Matty Sheldrick
Donation protected
We are fundraising in memory of Matty Sheldrick who died by suicide in November 2022. Family and friends of Matty are welcoming donations to go towards The Clare Project's Neurodivergent Group, where Matty was a much-loved member.
Funds raised will go towards organising a social trip outside of the monthly group - ideas so far have included Eastbourne Cat Cafe, a sea swimming class and/or a community-led art session. Any surplus funds raised will go towards running more social activities for the trans, non-binary and intersex folk who use the Neurodivergent group.
About The Clare Project:
The Clare Project began in 2000 when a group of trans women started meeting in the back room of a hairdressing salon to discuss issues affecting their local community. We are now a registered charity run by and for trans, non-binary, gender-variant and gender-questioning people in Brighton, Hove and East Sussex. We run psychosocial support groups, information sessions, workshops and excursions, as well as providing information and training for individuals and organisations on community needs, and connecting people to affirmative peer support, psychotherapy and healthcare. We also offer some support and advocacy for people who are intersex / have variations in their biological sex characteristics
