In memory of Mazi Okereke Igbokwe

Our beloved father Okereke E. Igbokwe, transitioned to be with the Lord on August 10th, 2022. Okereke was a father, brother, a beloved uncle and true friend indeed. Our father touched many with his jovial personality. He was always eager to share a joke and put a smile on everyone’s face. Although we are grieving and mourning his loss, reminiscing on his life gives us the strength to bare this great load. Our Father had many goals and dreams. One of his biggest dreams was to retire to the village and wake up to the rising sun. Okereke was a very simple man. All he wanted to do was enjoy the beautiful sunsets on the hills of Amuvi. Unfortunately, on the 28th of July, our father suffered a massive stroke that left him paralyzed. For 2 weeks, Okereke fought. Sadly, our father succumbed to his injuries and transitioned to be with the Lord on August 10th, 2022.

At this time, The Igbokwe Family is seeking support for the forthcoming burial of our beloved, Okereke E. Igbokwe. We want to fulfill his dream of going back home to the hills of Amuvi to take his final rest. We are calling on friends, family, and anyone who has had a personal connection with our father or family to help us accomplish his dream.

This GoFundMe will cover funeral and burial costs, transportation of Okereke back to Nigeria, and a proper sendoff here in NJ. Thank you for your love and condolences at this time.
