In Loving Memory of Melvin Ricardo Molden
Dear family, friends, and kindhearted supporters,
It is with a heavy heart that I share the passing of my beloved son, Melvin Ricardo Molden, who departed this life peacefully at home on the evening of November 30th. Melvin was more than just my son—he was my heart, my purpose, and my constant source of inspiration.
At just 18 years old, Melvin’s life was forever changed when he became the victim of a senseless act of violence. He was shot nine times—twice in the heart—leaving him paraplegic from the waist down. Despite the unimaginable pain and challenges, Melvin showed immense strength and resilience. He faced every day with a courage and determination that inspired everyone who knew him.
One of the things I will always remember about Melvin is his beautiful smile. It could light up any room, and no matter what he was going through, his smile never failed to bring warmth and joy to those around him. It was a reminder of his strength and his ability to find happiness even in the toughest of times.
For 32 years, I devoted my life to caring for him around the clock, ensuring he had the love and support he needed. Over the past few weeks, however, his health began to change drastically. Though his passing was sudden, I am comforted that it was peaceful and that he was surrounded by the love of his home.
As I navigate the loss of my son, I am also facing the financial challenges that come with his passing. I am humbly reaching out for your support to help cover his medical expenses, funeral arrangements, and other costs during this difficult time.
Melvin was a fighter and a light in so many lives. His strength, humor, and unbreakable spirit touched everyone he met. It is my hope that we can come together to honor his memory and give him the farewell he so deeply deserves.
Any amount you can give will mean the world to our family and will help ease the burden during this heartbreaking time. If you are unable to donate, I ask for your prayers, love, and for you to share this fundraiser with others who may wish to help.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your kindness, compassion, and support. Melvin’s legacy of strength, love, and that beautiful smile will live on in all of us who had the honor of knowing him.
With gratitude and love,
