Michael Sheehan worked as a technical consultant in Chicago for 15 years before moving to Los Angeles to attend the AFI Conservatory, from where he graduated in 2006 from the Editing Discipline. He began working in the industry as an editor on two HGTV programs, WHAT'S WITH THAT HOUSE? and MANLAND, and subsequently as house assistant editor for the Creative Differences organization on a variety of reality and documentary programs and films. He moved on to work on HBO's animated show, THE LIFE AND TIMES OF TIM as assistant editor and post-production technical director. He spent several seasons as an assistant editor on CSI:NY and moved into teaching Avid editing at the Los Angeles Film School in 2013. When the opportunity to join the team at his alma mater came up in 2017, he accepted and worked closely with AFI Conservatory's first-year editors on their cycle projects and technical skills.
