In memory of Mohammed Nurul Haque

It’s taken along time to write this as our hearts are still so heavy after losing our beloved dad. We wanted to do something to honour him in the best way possible to benefit him in the Akhira.

A little background on dads cancer journey:

My dad was diagnosed with stage 3 pancreatic cancer on 7th October 2020.

He was given a very poor prognosis - a life expectancy of 3 months or so but Alhamdullilah by the will and mercy of Allah dad fought a heroic battle with pancreatic cancer and survived 3 years and 2 months until the cancer spread to his liver and slowly took over took over his body.

Subhanallah despite dad’s diagnosis he was determined to beat this cancer, he fought the hardest battle with many obstacles along the way (not being the ideal candidate for the initial chemotherapy plan, delayed start date for the alternative trial chemotherapy, several hospital admissions and many infections including sepsis).

After a long hospital admission on September 16th 2023 of 3 months and 2 weeks dad deteriorated quickly. He went through unimaginable pain and suffering, dad came home after the they said they can’t do anything more for him.

He had a blessed passing at home on 27th December 2023 surrounded by his wife, children, brothers and his mother with the shahada on his lips.

May Allah grant our father maghfirah, widen and illuminate his grave and make it easy for him to enter Jannat ul Firdaus

I make dua my father is granted the status of a shaheed, and his disease was a way of expiating all his sins. Ya Allah have mercy on him like he had on me when I small. Ya Allah protect him. Ya Allah hand him his book of deeds in his right hand and let his good deeds weigh heavily on the scale.

Please help us raise funds for Sadqah jariya in my dad’s name.

During dad’s cancer journey he helped many in need, with eye restorations, water wells, building accommodations for the poor, providing a source of income for needy families by providing them with rikshaws and more. We want to honour him and help one of the ways Allah allowed us to in the form of Sadqah jariya and hope its rewards reach my father.

"When a person dies, their deeds come to an end, except for three: ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah), knowledge that is benefited from, and a righteous child who prays for them." (Source - Sahih Muslim)
