In Memory of Monique Lubrano - unexpected death

It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that we have to share that our loved mother, wife, sister, daughter and friend, Monique Lubrano, passed away tragically and suddenly on May 26, 2023, at the young age of 45 years old, due to a life-long battle with asthma.
For those of you who know Monique, you know she would light up any room she walked in to. She was caring, kind, funny, devoted, and hard working. Monique could make anyone smile, and had a passion for taking care of people - from her family and friends, to her beloved pets, to her patients at both of her jobs - the nursing home and at LabCorp, Monique's love and affection was widespread and contagious.
She started the day on May 24, 2023, like any other normal day, waking up to go work and talking to her husband, son and friends throughout the day. When Monique finished her shift, she stopped at acme on the way home to get food and treats for her pets. Tragically, while shopping, Monique, suffered a fatal asthma attack before making it home to her family that night after work. She was without a pulse when leaving acme and was rushed to Alanticare hospital, where she was then placed on life support and tested positive for covid. Monique had no brain activity on arrival to the hospital and despite days of life support, tests, treatments, and lots of prayers, she passed away. Her husband, Mike and son, Luciano, were not even allowed to see their loved one in the hospital until the very end to say goodbye - due to the covid diagnosis.
You can imagine how devastating and unexpected that was for the both them, along with the lingering emotional pain, stress and financial burdens that this heartbreaking loss brings. While we dont yet know the final costs associated with the funeral, with Monique's passing, we'd like to raise money and support her husband and son as much as possible with funeral costs and medical bills. With all the many decisions that have to be made in the upcoming days, we'd like to ensure that financial ones are not an additional burden to bear. All funds raised will go to her husband, Mike and son, Luciano.
Asthma and covid are both horrible diseases and unfortunately, due to asthma, Monique's lungs didn't have the strength to withstand minor colds yet alone covid. However, even in times like this, Monique's kindness and compassion shows through her wish to be an organ donor and help others in need.
It is times of sadness when people can come together to help one another make it through, any support you would be able to provide is greatly appreciated, even just a share and passing the cause forward. Thank you in advance for your love and compassion.
Please keep Luciano, Mike and Monique's family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers.
