On October 7, 2024, our beloved Morgan Kathleen Chicarelli passed away unexpectedly, leaving her family, friends, and community heartbroken. Morgan was a guiding light, known for her warmth, wit, and endless compassion. As we all come to terms with this devastating loss, we are rallying together to support her husband, Christopher Curry, during this difficult time.

Morgan and Chris were affectionately known as “Chic ’n Curry,” a term lovingly coined by Morgan’s mom to symbolize their inseparable bond. As Chris fondly said, “She taught me to be a better man and how to be a good partner.” Morgan had a unique gift for teaching, one she brought to every aspect of her life.

In addition to her remarkable advocacy as Director of Student Success at the National University of Natural Medicine (NUNM), Morgan was an incredible cook and baker. She often brought homemade treats to the office for everyone to share, a reflection of her generous spirit. She even created her own cookbook, Home with Morgan, which featured her personal recipes as well as those she learned from others and perfected with her own flair.

Morgan was proud of her large Italian family and believed there was nothing more important. She cherished her roles as a sister, an auntie, a daughter, and a wife, embracing each one with grace and enthusiasm. Her family was her heart, and her joy in being part of their lives was unmistakable.

Known for her wit and humor, Morgan often joked, “You want an opinion? I’ve got three!” Her boldness and wisdom were a source of strength and comfort to many. She encouraged her students to embrace their true selves, often saying, “It’s OK to be weird. Unleash your inner weirdo!” Her fierce advocacy and vibrant spirit will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

This GoFundMe has been created to help Chris navigate the unexpected expenses of Morgan’s loss and to provide support as he adjusts to life without his beloved partner. Any contribution, no matter the amount, will be greatly appreciated and will go directly to Chris during this incredibly challenging time.
