In Memory of Mrs. Marcia Toda

As many of you may be aware, Marcia Toda has recently passed away. Mrs. Toda was a loving mother, wife, and an inspiring teacher to many and she will be deeply missed by all. With her sudden passing, the Toda family would highly appreciate the support from all of the people’s lives she has impacted.
I have had the pleasure of spending years with Mrs. Toda in the classroom, where she exuded her passion towards many students’ progress and achievement. With her contagious laugh and booming voice, she accomplished both— joking around with us as well as enforcing discipline when needed. Her ardent dedication in the classroom fueled many students in the community to follow their dreams relentlessly.
To my younger brother and I, as well as many students in the community, Mrs. Toda was not only an English teacher, but a mentor that we were able to turn to in a time of guidance. Her work went well beyond teaching SAT and proper grammar, as she supported her students through much more. She instilled and cultivated values in me that exist in the person I am today.
It only seems right that we reflect those teachings and reciprocate it to her family who are facing conflicts of grief and financial strain. Due to the sudden nature of her passing, it is hard to imagine the amount of stress and difficulty in finding strength to plan a meaningful memorial or funeral; however, we want to make sure that she will be properly remembered and also for a chance for all of her loved ones to gather and also celebrate her incredible life.
The entire proceeds of this fundraiser will go directly to Marcia Toda’s husband to assist in relieving one of the many burdens they are facing right now. Thank you for taking the time to read this and I hope you are able to assist in making a positive and enduring contribution.
