In memory of Munawar

We, the family of Munawar Warsama, are trying to come to terms with the senseless death of our beloved son, brother, and nephew, taken from us on Friday April 14th near Bloor St. W. and Concord Ave. around 10:45 p.m. He was only 24 years old.

We remain shocked and devastated by his tragic passing and find it incomprehensible that there could be such a cruel disregard for human life and dignity.

Out of respect for the ongoing homicide investigation by Toronto Police, no public statements are being made at this time about the facts and circumstances of his death, except to emphasize Munawar was a a loving son, loyal friend, and a helpful neighbour. He had a big heart, a kind soul, and an ambitious spirit, with goals and aspirations to be an entrepreneur and start a family. We trust in the efforts of homicide investigators to bring the perpetrators to justice.
