In Memory of My Father, Edmundo Romo

I am the only daughter of Edmundo Romo. My father was battling cancer, which was further complicated after he suffered a spinal stroke and was left paralyzed- unable to talk, walk, or move in any capacity. I did all that I could to care for him and help navigate the medical aspects in hopes of a recovery. However, it is with a heavy heart that I announce my father has lost his brave battle with cancer.

Throughout this experience, I have learned just how incredibly strong and persevering my dad was. He never let anything get in his way, kept going no matter how many times he heard the cancer had returned, and kept his sense of humor through it all. While I choose to remember my father as the robust and energetic man that he was, it was in these last few months of watching him that I learned just how powerful love is, how important mindset is, and never to give up, no matter how challenging things get.

This has been so difficult for me, as I was not prepared for this loss. As I begin to plan a service to celebrate his life and bid him a final farewell, I am faced with the financial stress of arranging a dignified funeral. In honor of my father, Edmundo, I am reaching out for your support during this overwhelming time.
