In memory of my Nan and Grandma
Hi, my name is Lillie and I am fundraising for the little princess trust. They are a very close charity to me due to my Nan and my Grandma I never had the opportunity to meet battling cancer. Due to chemotherapy my Nan lost her hair and wore some beautiful hair turbans. However, this led to a discussion about how young children battling cancer would cope with confidence during this really tough time. One of the things my Nan struggled with the most at the start of this journey was the hair loss. She started by wearing hats and turbans in the summer to becoming more confident in herself and going out without them as her hair began to grow back. I was so in awe of her doing this and loved the strength she showed. She always told me she wished she had long curly hair like me so I decided to make a little girls wish come true and give her the hair that my Nan always wanted. I am fundraising for this amazing charity because it costs £700 to make a wig so anything you could do to help will be greatly appreciated both by me and the wonderful charity. Hair has now been chopped and will be sent of tomorrow to be made into a wig. Thanks for all the support and sponsorship. I have now raised enough for a wig and am now raising for the research into children’s cancer.
