In memory of my uncle Jono ️

Hi!

My names Evie, I’m 10 years old and I have been wanting to do a fundraiser for a little while. After a long think I have decided to give my new hiking boots a try and do a 7.5km hike up Talkin Fell and Simmerson hill in Cumbria in memory of my uncle Jono.

I have decided that any money I raise I would like to make a donation to Crohn’s & Colitis uk & my baby cousin Ophelia.

The Crohn’s & Colitis charity is very close to our heart as Jono suffered from Crohn’s / Ulcerative Colitis and went on to develop PSC because of it. At present there is no cure for any of these conditions and they all increase a persons risk of developing cancer. As many of you know my uncle Jono did develop cancer and despite a courageous battle he passed away on New Year’s Eve. Just 21 days later my baby cousin was born and sadly never got to meet her daddy.

Earlier this year my auntie Sarah planted a tree in Jonos memory close to where I’ll be walking, I’m planning to finish off my walk there with a picnic and to plant a flower from me and my little sister Mia.

Any donations big or small would be greatly appreciated but we would also like to raise as as much awareness as possible around this truly rubbish disease.
