In Memory of Nia: Caring for Nylah, Elijah, and Novah

We are deeply saddened by the unexpected passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Nia Simone Smith. As a dedicated employee of Carolina Foothills Federal Credit Union and a newly Certified Credit Union Financial Counselor, Nia touched the lives of everyone she worked with through her kindness, dedication, and compassion.
In collaboration with Nia's family, we are organizing this GoFundMe to support her three beautiful children—Nylah, Elijah, and Novah—who now face the heartbreaking loss of their mother. Nia’s love for her children was evident in everything she did. She was a devoted mother, always working to create a bright future for them. Nia was also an active part of her community, excelling in academics and athletics during her school years at Union County Schools. She went on to further her education at USC Union, where she was crowned Miss USC Union Palmetto College and earned both her associate and bachelor’s degrees.
Beyond her many accomplishments, Nia was a light to everyone who knew her—loving deeply, supporting her friends and family, and bringing joy to those around her. She leaves behind not only her children but also their father, D’Garyan Jeter, as well as her loving parents, Kimberly Gory Glenn and Reginald Lewis Smith, along with her extended family and countless friends.
Together, we aim to provide for the immediate and future needs of her children during this incredibly difficult time. Your generosity will help honor Nia’s legacy of love and care by supporting her children, just as she so selflessly supported others. Thank you for your contributions and for keeping her family in your thoughts and prayers.
