In Memory of Oscar: Aid for his children.
Donation protected
As many of you know my brother in law oscar passed away lastnight. We really appreciate all the love, phone calls and text from everyone. Early thursday morning He drove himself to the hospital for chest pains. He was told he would to need emergency heart surgery. We all went.
We talked with him before surgery, prayed with him, spent hours there waiting and then stayed until he was awake after surgery and talked some more. The heart surgery on Thursday went according to plan. Dr. said it would be a little recovery and hoped he'd be able to go home by the middle of this coming week, and that he was just going to be monitored for the next few days. His mom and son's stayed the night with him. Yesterday morning he was good. Eating drinking, make his rounds of phone calls face-timing friends and family. He was able to talk to all his kids and still having visitors. Unfortunately around 8:28pm after his last phone call with his one of his son's he passed after 35 minutes of life saving measures from a heart attack.
Oscar was in the process of trying to get a home to rent for he and his family. Oscar leaves behind 12 children. We are raising money to cover funeral cost and and possibly a down payment for a rental house for his childre. Any amount of donations would help. Any leads of rentals would help as well.
Most of his concern before surgery was making sure his kids were going to be OK. We as a family are trying to do what we can. Oscar was a very humble person and would never ask for a handout. He didn't want to put his problems on someone else.
Oscar never wanted people to worry.
One thing about oscar is he would literally give you the shirt off his back. There wasn't a selfish bone in him. Even if he was struggling himself he'd still give you his last.
Oscar wore his black sunglasses everywhere!! Sun or no sun inside and outside! Oscar had a tough guy demeanor especially in photos but he was the biggest teddy bear ever. Very loving and very humble. Hardest worker even when running on no sleep.
Our family has peace knowing oscar gave his life to Jesus years ago. Prior to surgery his brother mike was able to calm him down letting him know that the Bible say's
"To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”.
Oscar will be missed by so many people. He's left behind tons of people who meant the world to him including his 12+ kids. His parents and siblings. We appreciate all the support during this time.
More Details will be coming soon for arrangements.
